Construction continues to bring exciting changes, and we’re pleased to share some highlights for Forest Hills Central and Eastern.
Forest Hills Central High School
At Forest Hills Central, the gymnasium has a fresh new look with refinished floors and brand-new bleachers. Several classrooms and the media center are also being transformed into even better learning spaces.
But here’s the best part - students didn’t let a little construction slow them down! With temporary walls in place during remodeling, they saw an opportunity to get creative. These walls became the perfect canvas for showcasing summer reading book reviews. It’s a wonderful reminder that learning never stops, even when hard hats and hammers are in the mix!

Forest Hills Eastern High School
Over at Forest Hills Eastern High School, the new athletic facilities made their debut in a big way. The baseball field was completed in time for the team to kick off their season—and what a season it was! The Eastern baseball team went on to win the 2025 MHSAA Division 2 State Championship, right on their brand-new home field.
“I couldn't be more proud that we were able to deliver this baseball field on schedule in April, just in time for the season to begin. Seeing these kids go on to win the state championship on the very field we built—that's what makes all the long hours and hard work worth it. Knowing that our team played a part in giving the kids the home field they deserved for their championship run was really cool," said Jeff Diemer, Senior Project Superintendent at O-A-K.

The upgrades at Eastern include a new turf baseball and softball complex, complete with bleachers, a press box, concession stand, and restrooms. These facilities will be enjoyed for years to come, and we can’t wait to see more memories made here.
Thank you for following along—be sure to check back soon for more construction updates across the district.
